Tickets and Shoes

This morning I got pulled over for speeding. UGH! It's completely my own fault obviously - I was speeding, with no good excuse whatsoever. And of course the policeman didn't simply give me a warning, I got the actual citation. I don't think I've ever gotten out of a ticket. I know there are women out there who do but I guess I'm just not charming enough. Anyway, so now I have to pay the stupid ticket or pay for the privilege of attending driver's safety school.

After I got back on the road I drove immediately to Nordstrom and bought some denim capris and these cute shoes (note: I used a gift card my parents got me for my birthday - thanks Mom and Dad! - and not money that will have to now be used for my ticket):

Nothing like a pair of green summer shoes to make you feel better! (That is, until you realize that two additional pairs of cute shoes could have been purchased with the ticket money, but I'll try not to focus on that).

Cute shoes!! I can't even start to think about summer shoes yet. Or maybe shopping for them will make me feel better about the -2 degree wind chill we had today? Hmmmm....

Sorry to hear about the speeding ticket. Last time I got pulled over - many years ago because of course, I never speed ;) - I didn't get out of it either. It's not fair!

Ugh, I'm so sorry about the speeding ticket! Policemen can be so mean sometimes, can't they? I hope shopping for your way cute shoes helped you forget the whole speeding fiasco!

Way cute shoes! Hopefully at least getting a cute new pair of shoes makes up for the crappy speeding ticket. That stinks. I never get out of them either.

Doh! Sorry about the ticket. Not fun.

And yay for retail therapy to make you feel better - especially new shoes!

I got out of a ticket last year because I totally called the officer on the speed limit not being posted in the direction I was coming from. when you turn on this street the speed limit isn't posted until about a mile down the road and he pulled me over about a half mile before the sign

They always sit in that same spot because they know people speed through there. Well I told them if they REALLY cared about the safety of the community then they would stop sitting in their cars trying to "get" people and install a stupid speed limit sign or two. They have gotten hundreds of people on that road. Don't they realize there is a problem?

He gave me a warning. Those jerks and their little speed traps.

Cute shoes.

Hi Amy-
Its beautiful in Chicago today. And I was craving a little Oberweiss. Its not as fun going by myself though. I did get a Moola card in honor of you. Who makes those shoes? I want some. Green is the best choice.

Carrie, they're the BP "belize" sandal (fyi, Nordstrom.com is having free shipping on shoes right now; if you get these, order 1/2 size up). I'm jealous of your Oberweis trip! I seriously miss that place so much.
