Actually, I take that back - we did leave the house on Tuesday when we took Sam to the doctor, who determined that he needed to go the emergency room to get rehydrated with an IV of saline. But I don't really think that hospital trips really constitute an "outing." Poor Sammy - he was obviously not thrilled about being there but was such a good sport about it. And Noah was such a sweetheart and so well-behaved the whole time we were there (minus one meltdown at the doctor's office, but we'll give him a pass because it was a stressful day). Thank heavens Ben was able to leave work immediately to meet us at the hospital - it took both of us to keep Sam entertained and somewhat still while he was lying on the bed for an hour. You know, it's really not fun for a mommy to see her baby with a needle in his arm.
Ben took some pictures with his phone:

I am SO happy last week is over!

Yay! I'm so glad you guys are feeling better. And poor little Sam in that tiny hospital gown. What a big boy!
Oh no! I am so glad ya'll are feeling better, poor little Sam. He looks to be taking it like a trooper though.
PS - Why did I never realize that ya'll are only 4 hours and 15 minutes from us (according to MapQuest) I just looked it up last week, I think a visit is in order Pronto!
I'm glad you are all better! That cast for the IV sure looks familiar, I hear ya about needles!
Poor little Sam! He sure looks like he was in good spirits considering the circumstances. I am so glad you are all starting to feel better!
Oh that is so sad...I am so sorry. I am happy you guys are all better though, stay well!
i think it is so funny that they put a baby in a hospital gown for an one hour visit! i'm wishing you all good health!
Amy, I am so sorry that you guys had to go through this. Last February when I was in Utah(by myself) Dallin got bronchitis, he was throwing up constantly, had diarrhea and he burned his hand on an electric fire place. We were in the hospital about 5 times in one week for different things. He had to be hooked up to an IV for dehydration as well and it is the saddest thing to see your baby so sick. I am so glad that you are all feeling better and hopefully you never have to go through it again.
Amy
Grandma and I are so happy to hear that all of you are feeling better now.
Give everyone our love

oh dear. glad you are getting back on your feet. I think one of the saddest things is seeing your little ones really sick and miserable. They are so helpless and innocent. It breaks my heart!
