Okay, so let me list what I've eaten so far today and you can tell me if I'm being sufficiently healthy:
1. One large glass of Carnation Instant Breakfast
2. One can of coke
3. One Nature Valley sweet & salty nut granola bar (the "Nature Valley" brand allows me to feel okay about it, but I suspect that's deceptive... the "dipped in peanut butter coating" description on the box and the mention of 6 separate sugars/syrups in the ingredients are probably more telling about its health factor than the name of the brand)
4. One order of (large) french fries
5. 2 of my kids' chicken nuggets
6. One Dr. Pepper
7. One Snickers bar
Plus, Ben and I are going to a Mexican restaurant tonight which is rumored to have this amazing dessert so I'm not holding out hope for a healthy turnaround at this point. Is that list ridiculous or what?? I'm a little embarrassed about it, but I figured that it would probably make somebody (or, everybody) feel good about themselves for the superior health decisions they are making. So really, this post is kind of like my good deed for the day. I may not have the epitome of a healthy diet, but darn it, I'm a good friend.

Yes, thank you!! Makes me feel a little better after the burger and cheese fries I just ate! Oh, and don't forget the root beer float. But I'm pregnant so I can get away with it right? I'll just keep telling myself that...
How do you stay so dang skinny??!!! Count your blessings.
Jenn, absolutely! And I'm still nursing so there's my excuse (maybe this is one of the reasons I nurse for so long...)
Kerstin, I read an article recently about how your body frame doesn't necessarily reflect the fat you have internally. I'm pretty sure I'm fat on the inside. ;)
I have the same kind of diet, along with several Hostess brand treats. There is no shame is that. Besides, I gave up sugar for a month and I gained weight. Forget about it!
Which Mexican place did you eat at??
Hmmmm let's see..Calcium, "healthy granola carbs", protein, veggies (fries-Yes, I am from ID and can count fries as vegies)...sounds like a well balanced diet! :)
sadly, this list sounds way too familiar! i don't think chasing around little ones all day even allows you to have a normal diet. but who am i kidding...i'd probably eat this way anyway! i'm so glad someone else does too!
Lor & Audrey, we went to Pappasitos Cantina. Yummmmmmm. If you haven't eaten there yet, you must go there when you get back to Houston. I'll go with you!
That totally sounds like my diet these days. I can't remember the last time I actually ate a well balanced meal three times a day.
An all too familiar scenario in my days as well. But thanks for being a good friend Amers.
And I don't buy the internally fat thing. You are a stick!
