How We Spent Our 4th of July

The morning of the 4th was rainy here so the boys grabbed their wellies and we headed outside to splash in some puddles - a favorite past time for my boys.

(Noah decided to ditch his boots...
...and his pants)
In the evening, we gathered with our neighbors in the cul-de-sac. People brought food and a grill and we ate and talked and then watched some neighborhood fireworks. Last year Noah was afraid of the fireworks so I warned him that there would be fireworks tonight. Noah said, "Oh no! But they will scary me!" But our tough little guy decided to fight back. Every time one would go off, Noah would growl very loudly. When I asked, "Noah, are you growling at the fireworks?" he responded, "Yes, Mama. I'm being scary to the fireworks and I'm trying to eat it!" His trick worked and we had a very fun evening.
Sam was mesmorized.

Fun times!! Good for Noah.. being so brave!! With James and James still being gone I didn't know what I was going to do until the last minute Emily hooked me up with her friend's mom... we went to the shops at La Centerra and watched the fireworks there with Aaron and Daniel.. it was a pretty good show..
